Bat Out of Hell III, the third installment of rock's greatest epic produced by Desmond Child with songs by Jim Steinman, debuted at no. 2 on the German charts upon its release in Europe on October 20, 2006. Frankfurt hosted World Bowls in 1998 and 2000 and is considered the American football capital of Germany, making it the perfect host for this year's World Bowl XV.

Meat Loaf has been loosely connected to American football since his early childhood. As one legend tells the story, at the young age of 13, Meat stepped on his high school football coach's feet and as a result of the incident was given the now world-renowned name, "Meat Loaf." It's one of the many reasons why the superstar is looking forward to performing at World Bowl XV. "It is a great honor for me to perform at Yello Strom World Bowl XV," says Meat Loaf. "I am really happy to be part of this great sports-entertainment-event. Football, the NFL and, by extension, the NFL Europa, are an important part of my life and I
love the sport. Somehow American Football is responsible for my name and by performing at Yello Strom World Bowl XV, I give something back."

Meat Loaf's performance coincides with a string of German concert dates the superstar will perform in the country this summer. Meat's tour schedule will take him to Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart and, finally, Frankfurt where he will headline the spectacular World Bowl XV event as well.

Yello Strom World Bowl XV is expected to be aired around the world in more than 150 countries, including a live audience in the United States
on the NFL Network.
