Biography

Nick Barker started playing drums at the age of 13 years old, his professional career started back in 1993 at age 20 when he joined U.K. black metal icons Cradle Of Filth, after four albums and numerous world tours that followed, Nick went on to join the ranks of Norwegian black metal rivals Dimmu Borgir in 1999 and went on to enjoy even greater commercial success with them up until 2004.

Nick is also a busy session player in both live and studio enviroments, lending his skills to the likes of such heavyweight metal acts as Testament, Old Man's Child, Exodus, Brujeria, Gorgoroth/God Seed, Anaal Nathrakh, Benediction to name a few.

His current full-time band Lock Up featuring members of Napalm Death and At The Gates are busy writing and preparing to enter the studio to record their fourth album as well as upcoming shows in Asia and numerous European summer festivals this year.

Besides Lock Up Nick is also involved in another "all-star" heavy metal project called Twilight Of The Gods having recently recorded their debut album "Fire On The Mountain" due for worldwide release on Season Of Mist records in September 2013.
